OUT OF THE THREE, BIG console manufacturers - Nintendo, Sony, & Microsoft - Nintendo’s app lacks features that many consider standard. After combing through several sites for common complaints, I found that what people want from the Nintendo app is:
1. Access to their friends lists
2. Access to the Eshop
3. A news & events section to keep them up to date on all things Nintendo
4. An easier way to transfer screenshots from their system to their phone
I had three goals when I sat out to redesign Nintendo’s app: to add the desired features found during research, to keep it familiar, & to retain the current app’s simplicity.
